The South Korean couple Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin make an adorable couple and their millions of fans agree with this. The two made astonishing acting careers for themselves and tied the knot last year, leaving their fans in awe. While the couple was last seen in the popular K-drama Crash Landing On You, it was not the first project that they collaborated on. Their first film together, The Negotiation, was also a hit and proved how the two can bring magic to screens when come together.

While Ye-jin began her acting career with the 2000 film Secret Tears, her husband started off with the 2003 television series Bodyguard. Since then, the two of them proved their acting mettle and increased their brand value to manifolds. Now, Hyun Bin is among the highest-paid Korean actors, while Ye-jis is among the richest actresses.

After knowing each other for years, the duo’s first project together came with the 2018 film The Negotiation. The movie saw Son Ye-jin playing an ace crisis negotiator, while Hyun Bin became a cold-blooded hostage taker. The two interact for a good 21 hours, during which she tries to crack his unusually calm demeanor and forces him to reveal his true motivations. The Negotiation came out to be a good one, as it reportedly attracted a whopping 1.96 million people to the theaters. As per various box office reports, the movie earned $188,041 from its pre-sales and previews. While it opened up at the fourth place in South Korea with a collection of $576,290, the movie finished third after its opening weekend with $3.6 million.

After its first week in the theaters, The Negotiation surpassed 1 million viewers and the production house even released a picture of Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin celebrating with rice cakes. Despite tough competition, the film finally earned a whopping $15.67 million

Following the film’s success, Son Ye-jin, and Hyun Bin came together again for Crash Landing On You, and the rest is history. While they began meeting off-screen while filming the movie, they reportedly fell in love on the show’s sets and tied the knot last years in a lavish but elegant affair. The duo also welcomed their first child, a boy, in November.
