ARMYs Find SHINee's Album Guilty's Concept Photo Similar To BTS V's Layover, SM Entertainment Accused of Plagiarism!
BTS V’s ‘Layover’ Photoshoot Plagiarized For SHINee Member Taemin’s Upcoming Album ‘Guilty’? ARMYs Think So! ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

BTS’ V recently released his debut studio album Layover, marking the stepping stone of his solo career. V has previously dropped singles ‘Winter Bear’ and ‘Sweet Night’, which was also an OST in Park Seo-joon starrer ‘Itaewon Class,’ but Layover marks his first full-fledged album, with six tracks. V was lauded by fans and K-nets for the refreshing concept as he opted for an aesthetic allure, ditching the vibrancy usually associated with K-pop. Now, SM Entertainment’s SHINee Taemin‘s upcoming album, Guilty, has opted for a similar concept, and netizens have alleged that he has stolen BTS’ singer’s idea.

SHINee’s official Twitter account shared the teaser images of Taemin’s upcoming mini-album Guilty, which saw the K-pop idol striking some uber-cool poses in a country-side background, oozing summer vibes. However, netizens were quick to notice how the concept photo looked absurdly similar to Taehyung’s (V) Layover images.

Quick-witted ARMYs alleged that the concept for Taemin’s new album had been stolen from V’s Layover as the photos had an uncanny resemblance. Many fans of BTS also hyped V, saying he is the King of K-pop and everyone else is just following him.

Talking about BTS, the members, including RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, are currently on a hiatus as a group to pursue their solo activities. The South Korean pop titans are loved worldwide not only for their ethereal visuals and eccentric vocals but also for addressing mental health, class differences, and highlighting issues faced by youth. Their fanbase is named ARMY ( Adorable Representative M.C. Youth) – who went onto record to say numerous times how the band has helped them deal with mental health issues.

All the members have already dropped their solo albums except Jungkook whose studio-album Golden will release on November 3.

Meanwhile, SHINee currently has four members – Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin – after vocalist Jonghyun died in December 2017.
