When Kristen Stewart Was Told She Could Get A Marvel Film If She Stopped Being Homosexual Openly – PAST TENSE(D)

However, a shocking revelation came to light when Kristen Stewart shared her experience. The Twilight actress was asked to hide her sexual preferences if she wanted a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Yes, you heard that right! The actress opened up about her sexuality soon after her breakup with Robert Pattinson. She cheated on him with Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. However, Kristen Stewart went onto date a couple of other women including Lynn Gunn and Alicia Cargile.

Getting back to our topic, during an interview, Kristen shared her horrific experience. She was told that if she stopped holding hands with her girlfriends so openly, maybe she may grab a Marvel film. Opening up about the same in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Stewart revealed, “I’ve fully been told, ‘If you just like do yourself a favour and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie,’ I don’t want to work with people like that.”

Kristen Stewart was at that time dating Alicia Cargile. She also opened up about how she felt suffocated about hiding her preferences.

“I think I just wanted to enjoy my life. And that took precedence over protecting my life, because in protecting it, I was ruining it,” she shared.

Kristen also slammed society’s perceptions. “Like what, you can’t go outside with who you’re with? You can’t talk about it in an interview? I was informed by an old school mentality, which is — you want to preserve your career and your success and your productivity, and there are people in the world who don’t like you, and they don’t like that you date girls, and they don’t like that you don’t identify as a quote-unquote ‘lesbian,’ but you also don’t identify as a quote-unquote ‘heterosexual,’ And people like to know stuff, so what the f*** are you?’” concluded Kristen Stewart.
