In 2000, Hugh Jackman first played Logan/ Wolverine in the film X-Men, leaving a great impression on comics fans. No one can imagine anyone else playing the character with such perfection, except for Hugh. After the first movie, Hugh went on to play the clawed superhero in nine movies, with Logan being the last one. Well, the actor will soon reprise the character in the 2024 Marvel movie.
Every actor who plays such prominent characters often has some interesting anecdotes to share. Hugh Jackman also had a stressful incident during the shooting of the first film in 2000. The Wolverine actor accidentally stabbed a stunt woman on the sets. Years ago, the actor revealed the same on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. Jackman also shared the unexpected reaction of the stunt woman, who was doing scenes for Rebecca Romijn’s Mystique.
Hugh Jackman shared, “In the very first film, we had real metal claws and the girl who played Mystique, Rebecca Romijn, her double and I were doing a fight sequence. There’s a bit with her hand; it’s right inside the Statue of Liberty. I went to stab her in the arm, which is a part of the choreography. She’s meant to move her arm away. She forgot, and that thing went right into her arm. I mean, like an inch. I was stunned. I mean, it’s been a long time since I’ve stabbed someone (laughs).”

He added, “It was one of those scenes where it’s so deep, there was no blood coming out. There was this hole, and about a minute later, it was like a geyser. I didn’t find it, and I thought she was going to freak out, and the girl goes, ‘Yes, been stabbed by Wolverine.”
Hugh Jackman fans will see the actor play the clawed superhero again on the big screen with MCU’s Deadpool & Wolverine. The teaser trailer was dropped in February and received great reactions. The film also stars Morena Baccarin, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Jennifer Garner, Aaron Stanford, Brianna Hildebrand, and others. Fans can’t wait to see Hugh and Ryan on the big screen in a full-fledged movie together. The film marks their official entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Shawn Levy directorial will hit the theatres on July 26, 2024.
