Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were the first Hollywood celebs to test positive for Coronavirus. The couple was in Australia for the shooting of Tom’s film and that’s when they were diagnosed with the disease. The Forrest Gump actor took to his social media pages last week to share the news.
After taking treatment for 5 days in a hospital in Australia’s Queensland, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are now given a discharge. As reported by Reuters, the couple is no more admitted in the hospital. However, they will take precautionary measures and have rented a home in Australia where Tom and Rita will remain under quarantine.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson aren’t the only celebs who have tested positive so far. Other Hollywood celebs like Idris Elba, Olga Kurylenko and Kristofer Hivju are also diagnosed with Coronavirus. These actors took to their social media to share the news with their followers. All the actors in their post urged people to stay safe and remain indoors and to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The entertainment industry too has acted quickly on the COVID-19 situation. Many shoots and events have been called off along with the cancellation of release of films in the theatres. These films include Sooryavanshi, Haathi Mere Saathi, Fast & Furious 9, and A Quiet Place, to name a few.
On the other hand, Bollywood film Angrezi Medium, starring Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan had released last week. But due to shutting down of theatres at many places, the film didn’t perform well. However, director Homi Adajania recently shared that Angrezi Medium will re-release once the COVID-19 situation is under control.
