Tom Cruise Doesn’t Allow Anyone To Run On-Screen With Him; Here’s Why

Actor Tom Cruise, well known for conducting his own stunts, refuses to let people run on screen with him in movies. The reason is revealed by Annabelle Wallis while promoting her new film The Silencing. Tom Cruise will now be seen the seventh instalment of Mission Impossible.

Annabelle Wallis, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, revealed that Cruise is an accomplished runner and as such doesn’t want to share scenes with anyone who can’t keep up with his pace. However, Wallis made the actor break his rule.

The former Peaky Blinders star said, “Tom Cruise is on a different level, and, you know, I ticked a box. I got to run on-screen with him, but he told me no at first.”

“Tom Cruise said: ‘Nobody runs on-screen [with me],” and I said: ‘But I’m a really good runner.’ So I would time my treadmill so that he’d walk in and see me run. And then he added all these running scenes. So, that was it. It was, like, better than an Oscar. I was so happy!” Annabelle Wallis added.

Earlier this month, reports revealed that Tom Cruise is now filming for Mission: Impossible seventh instalment following the easing of coronavirus lockdown. However, the production suffered a setback after a motorcycle stunt went wrong.

According to The Sun, a stuntman’s motorbike burst into flames earlier this week. The mishap caused damage amounting to the £2 million. The bike caught fire after a bike stunt from a ramp was “miscalculated”. Thankfully, the stuntman didn’t sustain serious injury.
