Writer-director James Gunn is having a fun time dropping trivia and revelations on his Twitter handle. The filmmaker who is now working on The Suicide Squad has confessed that there can be a crossover between the animated versions of Suicide Squad and Scooby-Doo. Below is what exactly the filmmaker has to say.

For the unversed, James Gunn holds the credit of writing the 2002 live-action Scooby-Doo film. The filmmaker was also associated with the 2004 instalment Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. In this case, a fan on Twitter probed if there is a chance of two of his biggest projects coming together for a crossover film.

James Gunn’s reply on Scooby-Doo and the Suicide Squad crossover has got us excited. He wrote, “Scooby & the Guardians might be unlikely considering it’s Warners/Disney. But, you know, an animated Mystery Ink/The Suicide Squad film is always possible.”

Well, that was enough to stir excitement. Further, James Gunn also shared a picture from the Scooby-Doo and Batman crossover. He wrote, “I mean, this was my favourite thing as a kid which, along with Abbott & Costello vs. Frankenstein, nurtured my love of postmodern, incongruous-but-beautiful mash-ups.”

By now James Gun has revealed how Scooby-Doo was initially R-rated but was then cut down to PG-rated. He also spoke about the third live-action film in the Scooby-Doo franchise. The film that never happened was set in Scotland.
