James Gunn vision of upcoming DC film titled The Suicide Squad is most-awaited one. Last year, the filmmaker announced the cast of the film but nothing about their roles. The cast includes Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi, Michael Rooker, Taika Waititi and others.

Yesterday, the Guardians of The Galaxy director teased fans with some exciting news about former WWE star John Cena’s character. Also called The Suicide Squad 2, when the news broke out that Cena is a part of the film, fans couldn’t keep calm. The WWE star, as well as Gunn, know how fans are curious to know his character details. A fan tweeted to Gunn, “These are my suggested characters i think @JohnCena should play in The Suicide Squad 2 movie directed by @JamesGunn from Left to Right: Bane, Black Spider, Copperhead, Deathstroke, KGBeast, or Solomon Grundy
@warnerbros #DCEU #dccomics.”

To this, The Suicide Squad director replied, “A little late for the suggestions considering we finished filming in February, but thanks nonetheless & you‘re gonna freak out on how amazing @JohnCena is in #TheSuicideSquad as the character he does play…”

The fan had given some pretty good suggestions to the director. His reply proves that he liked them but he’s already done shooting with Cena. Only time will tell what character he’s going to play. We can’t wait for the teaser of this 2021 release.
