Taron Egerton, popularly known as Eggsy (Kingsman) to the Gen Z and Elton John (Rocketman) to some oldies, has been facing the rumours of replacing Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine for quite some time now. We know they’re pretty sharp claws to replace and we genuinely don’t think anyone could nail those.

Hugh bid farewell to the character, that exponentially buzzed his reach, Wolverine in 2017’s Logan. Since then, there have been many talks about Disney and Marvel reviving the role with a different actor.

Amid all those rumours, Taron Egerton has been one name which is constantly popping up to play Wolverine. To which he recently said, “That anyone thinks I would be good for the part is really flattering. I love Marvel, but it’s just fan stuff. There is no grounding for those rumours.”

In an interview published by Comicbook, Taron also added, “I think that I love those films and I’ve got lots of friends who play roles in those films and they love it, and they have a great time… I don’t know. I think the Logan thing is really interesting. I’m slightly baffled by it, I’ve never felt like a Wolverine sort of guy.”

“I think that one’s a few years away. I know that Kevin [Feige’s] spoken about it being a few years away. Maybe in a few years, I’ll look rough enough for it. I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a fan of those fans and of course I would, I would love to be a part of them,” Taron concluded on his plans of entering the Marvel universe.
