Joaquin Phoenix received a lot of praises for his performance in the film Joker. Even the film received rave reviews from the audience as well as critics. The latest reports mention that Suicide Squad actor Jared Leto tried to sabotage Joaquin’s Joker from being made.
As mentioned by the Hollywood Reporter, a source informed that Jared Leto told his agents to make sure Todd Phillips’ Joker gets called off. The actor even asked the music manager to call Warners’ parent company to make sure the film doesn’t happen.

THR had earlier reported that after playing crime lord in Suicide Squad (2016), Jared Leto thought that Warners would do a stand-alone Joker film with him. However, the makers gave a nod to Todd Phillips’ Joker starring Joaquin.
The report also mentions that Leto won’t be seen as Joker in DC films anymore. The actor won’t be reprising the role for Warners’ upcoming DC film titled Birds of Prey. The film is a spinoff on Robbie’s Harley Quinn. He isn’t even a part of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad 2 which will be out in 2021.
A person involved in this situation told the portal, “How do you play the Joker you established following [Phoenix]? It kind of ends his Joker run.”
