Sanford And Son’s ‘Uncle Woodrow’ Raymond Allen Passes Away At The Age Of 91

Raymond Allen who rose to fame with his role of Woodrow in NBC’s Sanford And Son passed away at the age of 91. Her daughter Ta Ronce Allen took to her Facebook account and shared this sad news with the fans.

As per his filmography listed on IMDb, he has also made appearances on shows like Starsky and Hutch, The Love Boat, and The Jeffersons.

According to TMZ, “Raymond Allen was in a long-term facility in California when he was found unresponsive early Monday morning. EMT’s tried reviving him, to no avail. The family says Allen died as a result of respiratory issues, but not COVID-related.”

Raymond’s daughter Ta Ronce Allen writes, “Just wanted to let The Allen Family and friends know that Dad received his wing two hours ago. His warmth, kind heart and cleaver [sic] sayings will be missed. His laughter will ring in heaven. Rest In Heavenly Peace Raymond Allen. The last of 12 siblings.”

Raymond will be missed by his fans and all the artists those have shared the screen space with him. His role as Uncle Woodrow will be reminisced in his memory. Sanford And Saon aired from the years 1974 to 1977. It was directed by Norman Lear and was critically acclaimed as well.

Raymond Allen is survived by his daughters Ta Ronce and Brenda Allen. He was predeceased by a son, Raymond Gilmore Allen Jr.
