People across the globe have been doing various things to show gratitude to the COVID-19 warriors and lend their support to the battle against virus. Frida actress Salma Hayek shared a picture of hers with her face coloured as a rainbow which is a sign of hope and unity amidst the ongoing tension of the pandemic. The actress also shared a long note and below is what she has to say.
Sharing the beautiful picture Salma Hayek wrote, “I painted this rainbow on my face because many people are using rainbows to symbolize unity and hope, and to thank the #NHS and all the health workers around the world for their courage and endurance.”
Further explaining why the rainbow, the actress revealed that Yumi, a food company will be donating meals with each rainbow tagged.
She wrote, “For each tagged rainbow @yumi will donate a month’s worth of meals to @FeedingAmerica to help support families in need. “Rainbows in Windows” is a children’s book written by @ariannawrotethis and is illustrated by @karo_oh – it follows the story of a young boy named Amos sheltering at home with his mother. Available for free @yumi.”
