Rickey Smiley’s Daughter Gets Hurt Due To Getting SHOT In Houston

Comedian Rickey Smiley’s daughter was shot late Saturday, while she was on her way to a Houston Whataburger, in Houston.

On Monday, Rickey talked about the incident involving his 19-year-old daughter, Aaryn Smiley, in a video on social media.

The video has garnered 71,000 reactions on Facebook and is captioned with Rickey’s words, “I don’t know what to do. Can’t think straight. Nerves bad. Butterflies in my stomach.”

Telling more about the incident, Rickey Smiley said that he was going to Houston to meet his daughter Aaryn, who had undergone surgery.

Aaryn had been caught in a suspected road rage shooting when she’d stopped at a red light.

According to USA Today, police said that four people suffered gunshot wounds.

Rickey said that he was grateful that everyone survived the incident. He said, “I want you to see that it’s raw, and it’s real. I want you to see what parents have to deal with when their children become victims of gun violence – the raw feeling, the [expletive] you have to go through.”

Later on Monday, Rickey Smiley excitedly shared the news of his daughter’s successful surgery via Instagram, saying, “She’s doing great!! Thank you for your prayers!!!!”

Even Aaryn Smiley talked about her experience in a tweet on Monday night. She said, “I could’ve lost my life yesterday. If it was another hollow tip bullet, and the metal didn’t stop it from coming into the car where my head was, I would be dead. I’m so grateful there’s only 4 bullet holes. I’m so grateful that it was a regular bullet and not like the one in my leg.”
