Recently Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson became the citizens of Greece and received the citizenship by none other than the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He himself shared the pictures on his Instagram account where the Forrest Gump actor and wife can be seen holding their new passports.

Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis shared the good news on Instagram and captioned it, “@ritawilson @tomhanks are now proud Greek citizens! 🇬🇷👍”

Onto the latest development, the Prime Minister has been receiving enormous hatred and is being criticized for the post that he shared with Tom and Rita on Instagram.

The PM apparently travelled using a military helicopter to travel to meet the Forrest Gump actor and his wife and the opposition party has highlighted the same. They, in fact, called out the PM for treating military helicopter-like their ‘personal radio taxi’.
