Back in 2012, Cody Simpson revealed having a huge crush on Miley Cyrus. Over the years, the love continued with donning t-shirts with the beauty’s face on it. But the fanboy turned into a best friend and then a lover, pretty much a fairy tale, isn’t it? February, 2012 – The Spark Was Ignited!
Cody Simpson revealed that Miley Cyrus has been his childhood celebrity crush. He, in fact, even called her the ‘most dateable Disney star.’ In a conversation with Fuse, Cody said, “Miley Cyrus has always been my childhood celebrity crush. I knew all the words to her songs. I’m not going to lie. I’m not ashamed about it at all.”
February-December, 2015 – Better Late Than Never!
In February, Miley revealed that Cody had approached her to create a cover art for one of his songs. She even designed a pretty simple yet cool cover for his song ‘Flower.’ It was during that time that the Party In The USA singer praised Simpson’s musical skills.
Cut to December, they’re best friends already! Cody Simpson is inspired by Miley Cyrus’ carefree attitude. “We get along super well. She’s the chillest — she’s the coolest girl I’ve ever met here in LA. She doesn’t have insecurities or stuff like that. She just rolls around riding a three-wheeler motorbike. She’s so sick,” he said on the Zach Sang Show.
Later that month, the Australian singer was even seen wearing a t-shirt with Miley Cyrus’s face on it. He captioned the post, “Haha it’s so lit @mileycyrus see ya tomorrow boys are cruising!”
October, 2019 – Can’t Get Enough!
Soon after split with Kaitlynn Carter, Miley was seen spending a lot of time with Cody. They grabbed lunch together and were spotted multiple times together. Things took a turn when the duo was seen kissing. TMZ shared a video of them locking lips at the Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles.
Owing to all the backlash over dating multiple people in such a short span, Cyrus took to her social media handles and bashed the critics. She defended herself saying, “People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet. Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as ‘legends,’ ‘heart throbs,’ ‘G,’ ‘Ladies Man’ etc….. where women are called sl*ts/wh*res! I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘mans’ world…. Miley Cyrus even shared a shirtless picture of Cody Simpson. She almost confirmed dating him with the caption that read, “22, Australian (my type), Abs, Hot Girl Fall,” with check marks on all the options.
Cody Simpson, on the other hand, did not hold back either. He shared a sweet post kissing Miley on the forehead. “Pre swim breakfast courtesy of baby.”
The same month, Justin Bieber even approved the relationship. “Ur body is a wonderland. Double Date?” asked the Yummy singer. To this, Cody replied, “Text me.”
However, things got serious when the beauty was hospitalized next day sue to tonsillitis. And there came her prince charming with a bouquet of roses. He even brought his guitar and sang for her.

However, shortly after rumours around their break up begin doing the rounds. However, the ‘On My Mind’ singer quashed the reports in style. He shared an Instagram story which had Miley Cyrus’s childhood photo as his phone background.
January, 2020 – The Steamy Birthday Post!
Miley is known for her bold posts. She shared a picture of Cody sneaking between his legs and wrote, “Happy birthday to my best friend in the entire world @codysimpson.” She even gifted him a personalized doctor’s vintage bag with the name of his poetry, “Prince Neptune” written over it.
However, Cody Simpson in an interview clarified that the couple wasn’t ready to plan a family. When asked about it at The Kyle and Jackie O Show, he said, “None yet, mate. I’m cautious. I’m a careful guy.”
February, 2020 – Tempting!
The duo grabbed eyeballs when Cody shared a picture of Miley giving him a haircut. What caught attention was that the Wrecking Ball singer was in sultry lingerie.
March – July, 2020 – Love Is In The ‘Quarantine!’

August, 2020 – It’s OVER?
Reports around their split began doing the rounds on 14th August. While there has been no reason given behind the same, it is said that the couple split weeks back.
In addition, Miley Cyrus releases the song, ‘Midnight Sky.’ Fans feel that it’s a message sent to all her ex-flames including Cody Simpson and Liam Hemsworth.
