DC FanDome event saw glimpses at Robert Pattison’s Batman to Zack Synder’s Cut of Justice League. During this event, some of the major revelations were made regarding Matt Reeves’s version of Batman.

Reeves, who is the director of the film The Batman, joined the DC FanDome event and talked about what makes his version of batman different from the previous Batman. Earlier versions were played by Ben Affleck and Christian Bale.

Explaining about his version of Batman, Reeves said, “What’s really important about this iteration is that a lot of the other stories are about how he had to master his fear, and master himself, in order to become Batman. And that in that Batman state, he’s sort of his best self.”

“For me, what was exciting was not doing that, not doing the origin, not doing what we’ve seen done so beautifully in other movies,” he further explained.

Matt Reeves also claimed that he wanted to see his version of Batman to make mistakes and see him fail and grow. He also said that his version of the heroic character to do all sorts of things that we associate with Batman, which we feel very human and very flawed.

When the conversation at the DC FanDome event turned towards the previous version of Batman, director Matt Reeves praised Ben Affleck’s performance as Batman in the previous film. At the event, he said, “I loved Ben Affleck as Batman. I thought he was incredible.”

“In fact, I’m really excited because I know that Zack is going to be doing the new Justice League cut of his that he didn’t get to do originally, and now he’s getting to do it. And I can’t wait for that,” Reeves added.

Ben Affleck will not only be seen in Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League, but he will also reprise his role as Batman in The Flash opposite Ezra Miller. The actor was first introduced a war-weary costumed crime-fighter in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
