She might be 56, but in more ways than one, Madonna remains unstoppable. The original pop diva, who broke into the global music scene with her iconic ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ ditty, has now released her 13th album and is planning another world tour.
In an interview to Associated Press, she pretty much hinted that she would like to carry on making music till she dropped; and compared herself to Pablo Picasso. She said, “I like to compare myself to other kinds of artists like Picasso. He kept painting and painting until the day he died. Why? Because I guess he felt inspired to do so. Life inspired him, so he had to keep expressing himself, and that’s how I feel.”
While her recent album ‘Rebel Heart’ has not topped any music charts, she admitted that age is a factor in the music industry. She also stated that despite being past 50, she will continue to perform. “I don’t think there’s a time, a date, an expiration date for being creative. I think you go until you don’t have any more to say,” she said.
Madonna will launch her ‘Rebel Heart’ tour in September, and perform across North America, Europe & Australia.
