Johnny Depp is a top-rated actor in Hollywood known for doing unorthodox movie roles. One of his most epic roles is that of Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Burton is known for the Gothic themes in his movies, and Depp has benefitted largely from them. The actor, who reportedly made around $650 million from his Pirates of the Caribbean role and earned the studio unsurmountable profit, was dropped unceremoniously for his conflict and court case with ex-wife Amber Heard. There are a few parameters for him on which he judges his characters, and the foremost thing on the list is something that is not formulaic. Depp explained that he gets actual work from doing such roles, where he gets to build and locate it. He tries to do something that has not been done to death.

He told Collider, “If you don’t explore fully, commit yourself fully to the character, to the director’s vision, and to your vision, and to the author’s vision. I feel that I owe it to the people to try something because I’d hate to bore you, so if I don’t try something that could be potentially disastrous, I don’t feel like I’m doing my work. I prefer when studios are scared.”
According to reports, after losing out on the Disney franchises Fantastic Beasts and Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnny Depp’s estimated net worth is $150 million+.
Recently, a fan-made Pirates of the Caribbean 6 trailer with Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow accompanied by Jenna Ortega went viral on social media. Unfortunately, there is no substantial news of Johnny’s return to the franchise. Rumors claimed that Disney is planning on going ahead with a reboot of the franchise with a female lead. Previously, Margot Robbie’s name came up, but it got dismissed after a while. A few weeks back, The Bear fame Ayo Edebiri’s name came up as one of the cast members of the rebooted version. Disney is allegedly eyeing her for the project.
Last year, a source close to Johnny Depp claimed that he would never return to Disney after the way he got treated by the entertainment giant.
