Pirates Of The Caribbean reboot confirmed!
In the latest interview with Comicbook.com, Pirates Of The Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer broke the silence on the future of his hit franchises, including Top Gun. He said, “It’s hard to tell. You don’t know. You really don’t know. You don’t know how they come together. You just don’t know. Because with ‘Top Gun’ you have an actor who is iconic and brilliant. And how many movies he does before he does ‘Top Gun,’ I can’t tell you.”

Jerry Bruckheimer added, “But we’re gonna reboot ‘Pirates,’ so that is easier to put together because you don’t have to wait for certain actors.” This seemingly was a cryptic message for all the Johnny Depp fans out there, demanding his return to the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
Meanwhile, a reboot starring Margot Robbie was earlier in the works but was put on hold. There remains no confirmation if the newly announced movie by Jerry will star the Barbie actress or not.
More about Johnny Depp vs Disney
As most know, Johnny Depp was abandoned by Disney shortly after he was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Back in May 2016, the Aquaman 2 actress filed for divorce, alleging abuse, and even gained a restraining order against the actor.
The consequences were brutal. Johnny faced a boycott in Hollywood and was dropped from several films, including Fantastic Beasts 3. He was embroiled in legal battles for years and spent millions trying to get a clean chit.
In 2022, Johnny Depp finally won the defamation suit against Amber Heard in the Virginia trial. His ex-wife was ordered to pay a sum of $10.35 million in damages, but the case was settled at $1 million.
On the professional front, Johnny made his comeback in Hollywood with the French film Jeanne du Barry. He is soon making his directorial debut with Modi.
