It’s Robert De Niro’s birthday today and he has been a legend since forever. From movies like Godfather, Raging Bull to the digital destruction with The Irishman, De Niro has nailed every form of art he has ever been in.
But, there’s something that Robert De Niro wouldn’t want his fans to know about him. It’s nothing that affected his career in any way but it surely made for some sensational headlines back then.
In 1998, Independent did an article titled as “De Niro quizzed over vice ring.” They wrote, “FRENCH police questioned the American film star Robert de Niro in connection with their investigation of a high-class prostitution ring. The actor was taken from the Bristol Hotel, close to the Elysee Palace, where he was staying during the shooting of a film in Paris.”

The report also adds, “Police sources refused to say why they thought that Rob could help with the inquiry. They stressed that he had not been arrested.”
This certainly is something we wouldn’t want to remember Robert De Niro for. But, the legendary actor has gone through many ups and a few downs in his life. He’ll always remain the actor synonymous to the brilliant cinema he has acted in.
