While Coronavirus Pandemic has affected the world, Game Of Thrones fame writer George RR Martin is spending his quarantine productively. He took to his blog ‘Not A Blog‘ to give out his health update and left the fans excited by revealing that he is busy writing Winds Of Winter and they cannot contain their excitement.

Starting his blog by addressing the Coronavirus pandemic situation the 71-year-old author wrote, “Strange days are upon us. As ancient as I am, I cannot recall ever having lived through anything like the past few weeks.”

Further answering to his well-wishers and fans who were concerned about him as his age is more vulnerable to the virus, George RR Martin cleared he is taking all necessary precautions.

He wrote, “For those of you who may be concerned for me personally… yes, I am aware that I am very much in the most vulnerable population, given my age and physical condition. But I feel fine at the moment, and we are taking all sensible precautions.”

Giving out the piece of information that will make every Game Of Thrones fan dance with joy, George RR Martin wrote, “I am off by myself in a remote isolated location, attended by one of my staff, and I’m not going into town or seeing anyone. Truth be told, I am spending more time in Westeros than in the real world, writing every day. Things are pretty grim in the Seven Kingdoms… but maybe not as grim as they may become here.”

Winds Of Winter will be A Song of Ice and Fire’s sixth edition and an awaited one. The writer is also involved with the GOT prequel series The House Of Dragons that is set for 2022 release.
