Iconic singer Britney Spears has been in a court-controlled conservatorship for more than a decade now. Time and again fans have been talking about it. As per the most recent updates, fans have started trending #FreeBritney on Twitter and they are demanding her conservatorship to end. Below is all you need to know.
For the unaware, Britney Spears has been under a court-ordered conservatorship since 2008. Her father Jamie Spears has been her court-appointed guardian. It was in 2008 when she had a huge public meltdown and went bald. It was also the year when she was fighting for the custody of her two sons.
Following the conservatorship, Britney Spears was not in charge of any of her decision. The pop sensation isn’t legally allowed to choose what she eats, whom she meets or dates and even her doctor. Even her possessions including property and other valuables were kept under the control of her father and lawyer. The court order is valid up to August 22, 2020.

One time she was staying at a hotel on HER OWN TOUR, and she asked the room service to bring her some flowers because the room was too barren for her, and they said they can't do it because it's out of her budget #FreeBritney pic.twitter.com/KvTa8kYuZp— Shady Died (@IfUSeekShady) July 5, 2020
