According to The Wrap, the show has garnered a 1.0 Live + Same Day household rating for the week ending July 26.
Now, we all know that the major reason behind the drop in the rating is the continuous backlash that the show and host have been getting throughout.
A while ago, Ellen DeGeneres wrote a letter to her staff and apologised for the work-culture and said, “On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show.”
Now, celebrities like Katy Perry and Kevin Hart has come out in support of their friend and are speaking out in public for the first time.
