Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn are proud parents to baby girl Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. The ‘Shape of You’ singer announced the happy news via a sweet Instagram post. In the post, he also mentioned that the baby was born last week, adding that both mom and kid, are fine.
The couple has been together for five years. Last year Ed confirmed that he and Cherry got married in a private ceremony in January 2019. The couple first met as children when they both attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk.
Sharing a picture of a cute pair of baby socks and a multi-coloured blanket, Ed Sheeran wrote, “Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.”

Ed Sheeran continued, “We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”
The news of their pregnancy was revealed last month when a source told The Sun that Ed and Cherry were excited but wanted to keep things low key. The source added that as the due date was nearing, the couple’s excitement has been building and hence they have started telling friends and family.
