Timothée Chalamet’s first look from his upcoming film Dune was unveiled last night. The film is based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name. It’s a science fiction drama in which the Little Women actor will essay the role of Paul Atreides.

The Call Me By Your Name actor took to his Instagram page to share the first look. In the pic, Timothée Chalamet, dressed in black look sad and alone. He’s standing at a beach and we can see some objects flying in the air.

The actor, who is known for keeping his words minimal gave a very simple caption to the pic. He wrote, “DUNE“.

Dune is helmed by Denis Villeneuve and it will have a screenplay by Eric Roth, Jon Spaihts and Villeneuve. Along with Chalamet, the film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Issac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgård, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem and Stephen McKinley.

This isn’t the first time Frank Herbert’s book is adapted into a movie. In 2918, director David Lynch made a film called Dune and there was also a miniseries in 2000 on the same subject.

This Timothée Chalamet is produced by Legendary Pictures, Villeneuve Films and Warner Bros. Pictures. It will hit the screens on December 18, 2020, in the United States.
