Rob Liefeld has just joined the list of Wolverine fans wanting X-Men star Hugh Jackman to make a comeback on the big screen. Logan was the last film in which we saw him clawing right through our hearts. Rob, who’s a comic creator, is still ‘stuck on’ Hugh being the Wolverine and he isn’t ready as all of us to see him getting replaced.
We saw Hugh Jackman nailing the character of Wolverine for 17 years. It all started in 2000’s X-Men and went until they killed him creating one of the most tragic scenes in the history of cinema in Logan.

In a conversation with Inverse, Rob Liefeld who has co-created Deadpool and X-Force told “I’m stuck on Hugh Jackman. Having met Hugh, having loved Hugh, there is only Deadpool because of Wolverine… I was doing Deadpool [in the comics] to get to Wolverine. Wolverine was always the goal.”

Just like us, even he’s waiting for Wolverine to make a comeback, he says “I can’t answer the question on Wolverine, I’m stuck on Hugh Jackman. I hope to God he comes back, I do. He’s been seriously firm that he’s not going to be Wolverine, and I foolishly don’t believe him.”
After the deal of X-Men’s characters going to Marvel, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios are all set to bring back Wolverine’s character on-screen.

Hugh Jackman in a heartbreaking conversation with The Daily Beast had told “I knew it was the right time for me to leave the party — not just for me, but for the character. Somebody else will pick it up and run with it. It’s too good of a character not to. It’s kind of like, you’re on your way home and your friend rings you and goes, ‘Oh, dude, a new DJ just came on and the music is awesome, are you going to come back?’ And you say, ‘Sounds good but… no.’ They’re fine with someone else.”
