After Taylor Swift surprised fans by releasing her ninth album ‘Evermore’, Britney Spears is all set to bring back the glorious 90’s era. The 39-year-old pop star has now released her new track ‘Matches’ featuring Backstreet Boys. The track is a part of the new deluxe edition of her 2016 album Glory, which is also released on all platforms.

Britney took to Twitter and announced to fans, “‘Matches’ featuring my friends @backstreetboys is out now!!!! I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together!!!! You can also listen to Glory Deluxe everywhere now!” Take a look at the tweet below:

Backstreet Boys also took to Twitter to announce their new single and wrote, “What a GLORIOUS day it is… we’ve been asked about the possibility of a collab like this for the past 20 years and today is the day!! #BritneyXBackstreet is finally here!”

The new single ‘Matches’, which is reminiscent of the good old pop days, is a dance track that perfectly combines Britney’s iconic sound and the Backstreet Boys‘ melodious vocals. The release of the new deluxe edition of her 2016 album Glory comes after she dropped ‘Swimming In The Stars’ on 2 December in celebration of her 39th birthday.

The new track ‘Matches’ is also Backstreet Boys first single since 2019’s “No Place,” which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200. It also became the group’s third No. 1 album there and the first since Black & Blue in 2000.
