So let’s see how well it has done in comparison to some films of the 3 Khans: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.
The superhero flick has recorded a collection of 30 crores* on its opening day.
With those numbers, it has left Shah Rukh’s Dilwale far behind, which earned 21.8 crores on its opening day. Reaching quite close to Chennai Express, which had collected 33.1 crores. However, it is far away from reaching Happy New Year, which had set the box office on fire, with 44.97 in opening day collections.
Comparing the numbers of Avengers with some of Salman Khan’s most successful film, there really isn’t much of a competition. His 2015 family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo earned a massive 40.35 crores on its opening day. His 2016 film Sultan earned 36.54 crores. The closest that the Avengers comes to is his 2017 blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai which collected 34.10 crores on its first day.

Talking about Aamir Khan, the actor’s films are neck to neck compared to Avengers. While many of these films have went on to become some of the highest grossing Bollywood films of all time, their opening day numbers are slightly low when compared to the other Khans. His highest opener Dhoom 3 surpasses Avengers: Infinity War, with 36 crores on its first day. His other two films PK and Dangal earned 26.63 and 29.78 crores respectively, less than the Marvel film.
So there you have it. The coming week will be the true test for Avengers: Infinity War, as it will clearly show the film’s position. Will the buzz fizzle out within this time or will it continue to smash one record after another. Only time will tell.
