Avengers: Endgame Trivia #20: Marvel Had No Idea What To Do With A Powerful Villain Like Thanos!

In Avengers: Endgame, we all witnessed Thanos’ death. Played by Josh Brolin, he is considered as one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it was not easy to defeat the Mad Titan. To finish him, MCU had to kill our favourite characters like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff).

Thanos made his first appearance in Marvel films in the 2012 release, The Avengers. In the end credits scene, we see Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) mysterious survivor from New York attack bowing down to a huge figure and it’s none other than our very own mighty villain. The end credits scene ends with an evil smile and rage in Thanos’ eyes. However, he made a full-fledged appearance in Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 1 (2014).

Joss earlier told IGN, “I love Thanos. I love his apocalyptic vision, his love affair with death. I love his power. But, I don’t really understand it. He’s had a lot of power, and he was cool in the comics. And I’m like, Thanos is the ultimate Marvel villain! And then I was like, I don’t actually know what I would do with Thanos.”
