Avengers: Endgame Trivia #2: Jeremy Renner AKA Hawkeye Was NEVER Supposed To Open The Film

Avengers: Endgame released almost a year ago and every day, we are getting to know something interesting about it. This is the last film by Marvel which features our OG Avengers gang together. Hence, no matter what, this will be a very special and important film for the fans.

As promised, we are back with another trivia about this 2019 blockbuster. Do you remember the opening scene of Avengers: Endgame featuring Hawkeye aka Clint Barton (played by Jeremy Renner)? In the scene, we saw how Clint is having a good time with his family. Suddenly, everything there’s deep silence and his family members turn into dust in front of him. It’s the effect of Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

Here’s the trivia for today! This Hawkeye part was initially supposed to be the last scene of Infinity War. However, the makers decided to keep this scene featuring Clint and his family as the opening for Endgame as Hawkeye wasn’t a part of Infinity War. They used this opening scene as a reintroduction to Jeremy Renner’s character and well, it did shake the fans in the first few minutes itself.

This opening scene did help us to understand why Jeremy’s character turns cold-blooded later in the film when Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow goes out looking for him.
