Iron Man sacrificed his life to kill Thanos and Captain America gave up on his superpowers in the end. We saw an old Steve Rogers after he went back to place the infinity stones.

After the events of Captain America: Civil War, fans were curious to see how Tony Stark and Steve Rogers meet. The duo didn’t meet each other during Avengers: Infinity War. But they came face-to-face in Avengers: Endgame. However, they decided to keep their differences aside to fight Thanos. That’s our Avengers: Endgame Trivia #64 for today. As mentioned by IMDB, Marvel initially wanted to have a small role for Tony Stark. But the actor wanted to be a part of the film on a large scale. Learning this, Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter got furious who told the screenwriters to write Stark completely out of the script. When Kevin Feige got to know about it, he pushed Robert Downey Jr’s appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

Kevin said that Tony Stark’s presence in Civil War can help further in the sequels, new franchises and more in the MCU. With his casting in the film, RDJ received a substantial payout and it included a back-end participation deal. There was another payout if the film manages to cross the box-office gross of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Well, Civil War managed to exceed it.
