Amber Heard Calls Johnny Depp Manipulative, Says “Was Afraid He Was Going To Kill Me”

Today, it’s the 10th day of Johnny Depp’s libel suit against The Sun. The tabloid called him ‘wife-beater’ in their article after Amber Heard accused him of domestic violence. The Sleepy Hollow actor then filed a legal suit against News Group Newspapers (NGN).

The hearing of the Johnny Depp libel suit is happening at London’s High Court. Earlier, JD denied all the accusations levied against him by his ex-wife. He dismissed the 14 allegations of domestic violence which the NGN is using for its defence.

As reported by BBC, today, Amber Heard was at the witness stand and shared her side of the story. Her written statement was also presented to the court. The Aquaman actress accused Johnny Depp of verbal and physical abuse in her statement. She also accused JD of screaming, swearing, issuing threats, punching, slapping, kicking, head-butting and choking her.

Amber Heard described Johnny Depp as someone who by nature was “extremely controlling and intimidating behaviour”. She told the court, “Some incidents were so severe that I was afraid he was going to kill me, either intentionally, or just by losing control and going too far.”

The actress further said that Johnny Depp uses his charisma to convey a certain impression of reality. She stated that Depp is very good at manipulating people. Amber Heard shared, “He would blame all his actions on a self-created third party instead of himself, which he often called ‘the monster’. He would speak about it as if it was another person or personality and not him doing all these things.”
