We all know that the COVID- 19 pandemic has triggered huge losses to the cinema industry. The theatres all across observed a shutdown and even if they re-open, anytime sooner, there will a corona scare in the mind of movie enthusiasts. Now, amid such conditions, actor Alec Baldwin has something special to say with an underlying essence of revamping theatre system.
Alec shared how movie watching is all about coming together and enjoying in theatres. He even spoke about the evolution of cinema- from drive-in theatres to multiplexes and now, the OTT culture. He lauded the decision of bringing the drive-ins back into the game.

As per people.com, Alec Baldwin in his video, said, “Going to the movies has evolved over the years from the drive-ins of the ’50s and ’60s to movie theatre multiplexes to binge-watching at home.”

“In whatever form it’s always been about people coming together and having fun around the movies. Right now where we can’t physically go to the movies because of COVID, drive-ins have come back in force. It’s great to see their resurgence,” he added.
Alec Baldwin further urged people to get back to the experience of watching movies in drive-in theatres. “Let’s get back to the movies,” he said.

For the unversed, during the last month, Walmart stated of converting its store parking lots into drive-in theatres in the US.
“Starting in August at select Walmart stores, we’re partnering with @Tribeca and rolling out the red carpet for drive-in movie premieres, complete with car-side and service,” Walmart had tweeted.
