Aladdin Fame Naomi Scott Replaces Rachel Brosnahan In The Sci-Fi Space Drama ‘Distant’

Watching Naomi Scott in Aladdin made the world discover the beauty yet again. The actor is now all set to give up her flying carpet and bounce on a spaceship. As per reports the actor is in talks to get on board for Amblin Partners’ next sci-fi movie Distant. Below are all the details you would want to know about the same.

For the unversed, Distant first had Rachel Brosnahan (Marvellous Mrs, Maisel fame) as the lead. Bit she had to walk out due to the reshuffling due to the pandemic. Rachel’s loss has turned out to be Naomi Scott’s gain as the actor has almost come on board.

As per Hollywood Reporter, the film will also have A Star Is Born actor Anthony Ramos alongside Naomi. Distant is being helmed by Blades Of Glory fame filmmakers Will Speck and Josh Gordon.

The film is about an asteroid miner that crashes on an unknown planet. It will show Anthony running out of oxygen and running from predators. And amidst all this, he meets another survivor (Naomi Scott). The script is being written by Spencer Cohen.
