After The Nerd Ross Geller In FRIENDS, David Schwimmer To Play A Vulgar Character In Intelligence

David Schwimmer aka the Ross from FRIENDS is all set to come up with a new comedy show titled Intelligence. The show will start premiering on Peacock from Wednesday and David will be seen playing the character of National Security Agency agent Jerry Bernstein who is sent to England to serve as the NSA liaison to its Government Communications Headquarters.

Recently David Schwimmer opened up about Intelligence and shared some interesting details about his character Jerry Bernstein’s personality traits.

In a recent conversation with UPI, David Schwimmer said that his character in the show is vulgar. “My character is vulgar,” he said and added, “He’s arrogant, brash, ignorant and insensitive and reckless.”

He further added that the reason behind this side of his character is his deep insecurities which he is trying to hide.

“You really understand a little more of his backstory and realize he’s in a world of pain right now,” said David. “The mask keeps slipping throughout Season 1, and you get to see what’s really going on with this guy,” he added.

David Schwimmer also opened up about how the show is about bromance and how Jerry’s bonding with Joseph Harries played by Intelligence’s creator Nick Mohammed will be a highlight of the show.

“It’s a bromance,” David said and added, “Will they (o)] won’t they let themselves become friends because they’re both desperately lonely?”

Talking about the use of bad language in the show, Nick Mohammed said that he didn’t notice it while he was writing the show.

“I never really noticed the bad language in it, certainly when I was writing it, or even filming it, until my parents watched it,” Mohammed said.
