Japanese singer Ado, who made her music debut at age 17 with the digital single ‘Usseewa,’ had a big announcement for her fans on her 21st birthday. The young J-pop artist is gearing up to take her music to the world and perform live for her fans outside her island home country for the first time as part of her first world tour.
The 21-year-old took to X yesterday and announced the special news to her 2 million fans by sharing an announcement video. She captioned the clip – which reveals the tour is scheduled to happen from February to April 2024, “THE FIRST WORLD TOUR ” Wish” I’m going to see you all!”

The first track on our list has to be Ado’s digital single ‘Usseewa’ (うっせぇわ). The song’s title, which translates to ‘Shut up’ in Japanese, made Ado an artist to watch out for thanks to its head-banging beats and shocking lyrics. The lyrics won the heart of young people as it represents what they want to express but may hesitate to say. The music video of Usseewa – which features Anime characters, has been streamed over 296 million times in 3 years.
Odo
Being a youngster, Ado released several songs soon after her debut, and her fourth single, titled ‘Odo’ (踊), is a fan favorite. While it does talk about the negative, it also sheds light on how she overcomes it by becoming positive about her appearance and moving on with her life. This track has over 154 million views in 2 years.
Backlight
Backlight (逆光) is part of the playlist for the 2022 anime musical fantasy action-adventure film One Piece Film: Red. The do-not-mess-with-me track is Uta’s song as she attacks and traps the Straw Hats after they diss her idea of making her concert last forever and create a world with only happiness and peace. The track has over 104 million views since its release in November 2022.
Readymade
Ado’s second single, Readymade (レディメイド), is a song that is sure to resonate with all, especially young adults. While talking about people’s problems – like loneliness, love and money problems, and more- the track advises all to live life and sing while getting through them. The song has over 86 million views on YouTube since it was released nearly two years ago.
