A young Taylor fan lost her life in a tragic accident while she was on her way to the concert. The news comes two months after a Taylor Swift fan lost her life in Brazil due to heat exposure.
Taylor Swift Fan En Route To The Eras Tour Dies
As reported by Australia’s Herald Sun, Mieka Pokarier, a 16-year-old Taylor Swift fan, lost her life in a fatal car crash. Mieka was accompanied by her 10-year-old sister, Freya and their mother, Kim Litchfield. Kim was driving the car to attend Taylor’s concert on Friday. Unfortunately, their SUV collided with a semi-trailer, killing Mieka on the spot. The accident happened at 6 pm in the Dubbo region of New South Wales.
Mieka’s sister, Freya, is currently undergoing treatment at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital. Freya suffered severe brain injuries, had a broken leg, and she has damaged her pelvis, too. The doctors have put her in a medically induced coma as her condition is quite critical. The girls’ mother, Kim, suffered minor injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the Dubbo Hospital. The girls’ godmother, Karleigh Fox, started a GoFundMe page for the treatment and revealed how the girls looked forward to seeing Taylor perform in Melbourne and Sydney.
