Actor Norman Spencer, who is best known for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character Cyclops in X-Men: The Animated Series, passed away at the age of 62. Spencer has lent his voice for Scott Summers aka Cyclops between 1992 and 1997. X-Men: The Animated Series was based on the Marvel Comics characters Professor X and his mutants.
The sad news was confirmed by Spencer’s X-Men co-star Cathal J. Dodd. Dodd voiced the character Wolverine in the series. The cause of death has still not been revealed.
Via an emotional post, Dodd tweeted, “Lost my dear friend and cohort Norm Spencer. WHat a sad day. Norm was the voice of Cyclops on X-Men the animated series.He was a genuine Character and sweetheart. I will miss her you Cyc. sorry about the “convertible” Bub. see ya later my friend.”

Besides X-Men: The Animated Series, Norman Spencer voiced the Cyclops in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
He also lent his voice for video games such as X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.
Norman Spencer also appeared in series like the Silver Surfer animated series as Drax the Destroyer, Sly Fox on Dumb Bunnies, Hades in Mythic Warriors: Guardians of the Legend and Billy Blazes on Rescue Heroes.
