KUWTK star Kim Kardashian is one of the most experimental celebrities when it comes to fashion. While she is appreciated most of the time, her idea of mixing cultures also invites trolls. Kim has again fell into the troll brigade arena as she wore western clothes with Indian jewellery and Twitterati accused her of insulting cultures. Below is what exactly happened.
In a tweet that Kim put up, she shared three pictures of her donning an ensemble infusing Indian jewellery with western outfit. She was seen wearing a grey crop top paired with a matching coloured skirt. In accessories, she went for heavy gold kadas (bangles) in one hand and a mang tika. Loose curls completed her look.

While she looked pretty and her glamorous self, the infusion of Indian jewellery with western clothes did not go well with many. The reality star was backlashed by the netizens. While one reminded her that she is not Mastani (Deepika Padukone’s character from Bajirao Mastani), other told her to be mindful before insulting a culture.

A twitter user wrote, “the fact that you live off of appropriating other cultures without any shame is mind boggling to me.” Another wrote, “if anyone is defending this bc she’s half armenian- (her dad was a third gen wealthy armenian) armenians don’t wear bindhis/bindhanis. not all brown people are allowed to wear the same things. we’re not all the same. bindhis are sacred to hinduism/south asian cultures.”
