Titanic: When Neil deGrasse Tyson Made James Cameron Make Changes In The Scene

James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic starring Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet is one of the greatest films in the world. It has been 23 years since the release of the film but it still continues to touch many hearts. Of course, people have a few problems with the film but they are nothing as compared to the love it has received over the decades.

Today we are here with an interesting fact related to the film based on an epic disaster. Do you know Astrophysicist, cosmologist, and planetary scientist, Neil deGrasse Tyson made James Cameron make changes in the film?

It so happened that Neil was not convinced with the star field in a particular scene in the film and hence he wrote an email to James Cameron to get it changed. And guess what! Cameron took the note and actually changed it.

Talking to The Telegraph, James Cameron himself revealed, “Neil deGrasse Tyson sent me quite a snarky email saying that, at that time of year, in that position in the Atlantic in 1912, when Rose is lying on the piece of driftwood and staring up at the stars, that is not the starfield she would have seen. And with my reputation as a perfectionist, I should have known that and I should have put the right star field in. So I said ‘All right, send me the right stars for that exact time and I’ll put it in the movie.'”

Now that’s something! Isn’t it?
