It was recently when John Boyega voiced his opinion about the Star Wars franchise and called out the makers for lack of representation of black characters. Just around the same time, Lucas Films & Disney announced the release date of the much-awaited The Mandalorian Season 2.

While this might just be another coincidence, Twitterati feels they did it to cover up the backlash that Boyega’s confession brought. Below is all you need to know.

John Boyega famous for the sequel trilogy, in a rather explosive interview, called out various wrong aspects of the Star Wars universe. He said that Finn was sidelined in The Rise Of Skywalkers and The Last Jedi. Boyega even went on to slam the bosses for lack of diversity and representation.

While this was a raging topic of discussion, it was suddenly announced that The Mandalorian Season 2 would hit Disney Plus on October 31, 2020. This is for sure exciting news, but for the people backing Boyega this turned out to be a cover-up to erase his voice.

Reacting to John Boyega and The Mandalorian row, a Twitter user wrote, “you’re allowed to be excited for the Mandalorian season 2. lots of very talented people worked on it. be excited for it. butbut don’t use it to sweep what john boyega said under the rug. recognize you can be excited for it while also calling disney out.”

Another said, “lmao @ Boyega rightfully voicing his frustration with Star Wars and the mouse immediately dropping “Uh, MANDALORIAN season 2 October 30th!”
