It seems like Shia LaBeouf is getting ready to make a pretty big comeback. After a two-year hiatus, the actor is allegedly being eyed by Marvel to play a role in their upcoming X-Men reboot. According to reports, the 34-year-old may essay the role of Iceman in the superhero reboot.
During his break, Shia publicly battled mental health and addiction issues, a period of his life that he partly captured in his semi-autobiographical film Honey Boy. LaBeouf played his father in the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival entry.
According to sources at We Got This Covered, Marvel is supposedly enthusiastic to work with the Honey Boy actor, Shia. Known for getting into the skin of his characters, the actor was first considered for the role of Moon Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moon Knight is a rich vigilante character similar to Batman.

According to their report, LaBeouf is still being considered for Moon Knight but is no longer one of the top choices. However, Marvel is keen to work with him and they now see the role of Iceman as another possible way of bringing him into the fold while still easing him back into the big-budget environment that he’d previously sworn off.
Shia LaBeouf began his career as a child star by appearing in shows like Even Stevens, The X-Files, ER and Holes. He also featured in big-budget box office hits like the Transformers movies, Eagle Eye and Disturbia, along with snagging supporting roles in I, Robot, Constantine, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
