Not Loki, But Tom Hiddleston Had Auditioned To Play THIS Superhero In Marvel Films!

All the Marvel fans know that no one could’ve played Loki in better than Tom Hiddleston. For them, Loki is Tom and Tom is Loki. He is one of the most loved villains in the films and has an equal fan following like the superheroes in MCU.

The first time Tom Hiddleston made an appearance as Loki was in 2011 film, Thor. Chris Hemsworth played the titular role and Tom’s half-brother in this Marvel film. However, did you know Hiddleston was first interested in playing the God of Thunder and not God of Mischief? In fact, he had auditioned for Thor but ended up bragging the role of Loki in MCU.

Last year, unseen footage of Tom’s audition for Thor was also revealed in Jimmy Fallon’s show. In the interview, the Avengers actor said, “I think we can all agree that they cast the right actor (for Thor).”

About auditioning for Marvel films, Tom Hiddleston said, “It is amazing. I never expected it. I auditioned for the first Thor film 10 years ago in 2009 and I just thought I’m auditioning for a movie. It’s an interesting part, an interesting movie. Back then, the Marvel Universe had just made Iron Man. I have to go. I didn’t expect to be casted at all. It was so exciting.”

Well, we agree with Tom that the makers have cast the right actor not only for Thor but also for Loki. No one else can play God of Mischief with the charm and notoriousness that he portrays on screen.

Meanwhile, after Tom will be seen in Disney+ series Loki. The series is based on his character which escaped with the tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. The series will be streaming on the digital platform next year.
