Here is great news for Metallica fans. The band is ready to rock the stage for the first time since 2019. The metal legends will perform their first show on the 29th of August. Yes, it is happening. Read on for details.
Metallica’s first show of 2020 will be at the dive in and will be screened at Adventureland in East Farmingdale as well as hundreds of drive-in theatres across the country, partnered with the Encore Drive-In Nights series.
A report in News Day quoted Walter Kinzie, CEO of Encore Live, “In all of rock, it literally doesn’t get any bigger than Metallica. Over the course of their career, these guys have completely redefined rock, touring and frankly what’s possible in terms of success in this industry. We’ve seen with our first two Encore Nights Drive-In concerts that fans absolutely dig the drive-in experience and we know that Metallica is going to blow the top off of this thing and take it to a whole new level.”

The excitement level is super high as Metallica will perform a completely new show from its Northern California headquarters. The show will be edited and mixed by Metallica’s production team. The opening act has also been revealed. And guess what? Three Days Grace will open the concert. Excited for tickets?
The tickets for the show will be available to fans on 12th August and to the general public on 14th August. As per the report, “Each ticketed car will receive four digital downloads of Metallica’s new double live album, “S&M2” featuring 22 songs from its reunion concert with the San Francisco Symphony from the Chase Center in San Francisco last September. The album is a sequel to 1999’s “S&M.”
