James Gunn To NEVER Direct An Avengers Film & Also Hints At Guardians Of Galaxy 4 Might Be His Last With The Team

Director James Gunn’s Marvel film Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 4 is one of the most anticipated films across the globe. While the filmmaker is right now working on Suicide Squad, he revealed that this will be his last outing with the Guardians franchise and we can hear a lot of hearts breaking.

Adding to the same is one more sad news as the filmmaker revealed that he will never direct an Avengers film. James Gunn spoke about all of this in an Instagram Q and A session.

When in the Q and A session, a fan asked James Gunn if Guardians Of The Galaxy 4 will be the last film in the franchise, he wrote, “It’s probably my last one and probably the last with the current team. But you never know.”.

Meanwhile, the current team of the Guardians Of The Galaxy comprises of Chriss Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.

Later in the session, James Gunn was asked if he was ever approached for an Avengers film. The filmmaker replied, “I haven’t been asked but I wouldn’t do it if I was.” Well, that was a blunt reply. When asked the reason why he won’t, he simply said that the idea does not appeal him.

Meanwhile, even amid the lockdown, James Gunn has been busy putting together DC’s Suicide Squad. The film is set for an August 6, 2021 release and according to the filmmaker, it still stays the same.
