Legendary singer Bill Withers died last month at the age of 81 due to heart complications. He was one of the most popular singers of the year 1970s and has given major hits like ‘Lean On’, ‘Ain’t No Sunshine and ‘Lovely Day’. The three-time Grammy-winner took retirement from music in the 80s but has been our favourite ever since. Amid the lockdown, 25 Canadian singers including Justin Bieber, Bryan Adams, Geddy Lee and Avril Lavigne.

Yes, you read that right. All these artists have come together to raise charity for COVID-19 survivors. How cool is that, isn’t it? It was a singer and song-writer, Tyler Shaw along with fellow artist Fefe’s idea to raise charity on Bill Withers’ ‘Lean On Me’ through Canadian Red Cross.

The artists include some of the big names like, produced by Jon Levine (Philosopher Kings), including Avril Lavigne, Bryan Adams, Geddy Lee, Jann Arden, Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé, Sarah McLachlan, Serena Ryder and Walk Off The Earth, under the collective banner ArtistsCAN.

Stronger Together, a multi-channel TV special was the platform on which the video of the song was launched on Sunday. The sole aim of it was to raise money for the food banks and front-line workers.

What a beautiful tribute to the legendary singer, Withers along with a noble cause.
