FRIENDS Trivia: Phoebe Buffay’s Half Brother Frank Jr. Had An Uncredited Role In Season 2 As The Co*dom Guy

Continuing the trend of bringing you some interesting FRIENDS trivia, here we are with a fresh one. This one is about Frank Buffay Jr. (Antonino Giovanni Ribisi), the half brother of Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow).

In the 10 seasons of FRIENDS, Frank Buffay Jr. only featured in 10 episodes but he is one of the most memorable actors. How can we forget the way he and his teacher-girlfriend used to fall on sofas while kissing each other? LOL!

But do you know, before entering the show as a half brother of Phoebe he had an uncredited role in the season 2 of the show? We are sure many big fans of the show also wouldn’t have noticed him when in Season 2 Episode 21 he drops a co*dom in Phoebe’s guitar case while she is singing at the sidewalk of Central Perk. Yes, it was him and he was not supposed to be Phoebe’s relative at that time.

Interestingly, Antonino Giovanni Ribisi was an extra on the show but the makers liked him so much that they went on to write his character and added him in the show. Isn’t that interesting?

FRIENDS starring David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green and Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe ran successfully on American television from 1994-2004. A reunion episode of the show is all set to be shot this month which will feature all the members of the main star cast and will stream on HBO Max.
