September ends on quite a fashionable note as several Bollywood stars descended on the red carpet of Vogue Beauty Awards 2019. It was a starry event as Bollywood whos who stepped in their fashion best for the gala event. Stars including Vicky Kaushal, Rakul Preet Singh, Richa Chadha, Sara Ali Khan walked the red carpet. While many stole our hearts with their lustrous outfits, it was Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who took away the limelight.
Just like every other year, the stars made quite a few bold choices and went for the vogue fashion styles. We are talking about ruffles, sequences, plunging necklines, metallics and what not! Bollywood’s most handsome kept it classic as usual and smouldered us with their killer looks. The ladies kept it suave and chic. The B-Towners made it a glam entry, however, some failed to impress the fashion fanatics. Here are our favourite — and not-so-favourite — picks of the night:

Alia Bhatt

Alia opted for a glittery high slit dress by Michael Costello. She paired her look with a classy pair of metallic heels and went very basic with her makeup. Alia chose nude colours for her eyeshadows and lips which actually blended perfectly with the dress. Alia opted for a teased pony hairstyle ditched accessories for the look. Alia won the Beauty Icon Award.
Shahid Kapoor:
Next on the list has to be this hot daddy. Shahid Kapoor made a dashing entry in a tuxedo and we are sure it will leave you drooling all over. Shahid Kapoor bagged the Man Of The Decade Award in an Amit Aggarwal suit. The metallic moulded menswear jacket was definitely the highlight of the entire ensemble. Shahid yet again experimented with his shoes and went for a pair of black shoes by Shutiq that looked dapper on him.
Malaika Arora:
Malaika Arora raised the temperatures in a white gown by Aadnevik. The diva was looking red hot as she bagged the Fitspiration-Female Award at the event. She styled her body fit, embroidered dress with a pair of beige coloured heels. Maliaka opted for red lipstick, soft dewy base and metallic eyeshadow and kept her tassels loose open.
Bhumi Pednekar:
Bhumi Pednekar has always experimented with her looks and never shied away from going all bold with her style. She wore a dazzling crystal gown by Ziad Nakad that had quite the details on it. She kept her hair pulled back and went out with her makeup. She did a dark maroon lipstick, dewy base, winged eyeliner, bushed eyebrows makeup look. She accessorised her look with long diamond danglers to complete the look.
Rakul Preet Singh:
Rakul Preet has already bedazzled us with her red carpet appearance earlier and this time also she did not disappoint us. The De De Pyaar De actress stepped in a red fringe dress by Aadnevik and was looking red-hit as usual. She went for metallic heels by Charles & Keith and tied her hair in a curly pony. Rakul opted for a highlighted, golden makeup look and accessorised her look with a few rings.
Vicky Kaushal:

Well, we were pretty disappointed by what Vicky wore. He has made some very classy entries at the red carpet but this time he failed to impress us. Dressed from head to toe in Dior, Vicky went a multi-coloured suit and well, it did not look that great on him. Vicky, we like to see you in a tuxedo so we hope next time you opt for one.
Sara Ali Khan:
Sara Ali Khan, yet again, went a little overboard with her ensemble. She chose one of the popular colours – black – for her dress but it did not really work for her. Her Anaita Shroff Adajani dress was a combination of ruffles, sparkly details and mesh that did not really work. Her makeup and hair were however something very sleek and classic. She opted for black heels and a few rings to complete the look.
Kriti Sanon:
Kriti Sanon is one of the most fashionable stars in B-Town but her pink gown for the Vogue Beauty Award event was missing the oomph factor. She went for a pink garment designed by Monisha Jai Singh and added details by combining silver high heels, silver danglers and other accessories to it. Her makeup was minimal and she went for a classic red carpet look.
Radhika Apte:
Radhika Apte yet again opted for a metallic dress for this event. She wore a Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna’s sequence dress and opted for printed shoes to go with the dress. Radhika finished her look with dark maroon lipstick, bright eyeshadow, bushy eyebrows and highlighter. She ditched jewels and went tied her hair in a high bun.
Radhika Madan:
While flounces and trimmings are a vogue thing now, Radhika did not impress us that much. She opted for a sky blue ruffle dress by Jewellyn Alvares and paired it with silver heels. She went for a loud makeup look with black smokey eyes, nude lipstick and nude base. Radhika opted for silver dangler and let her hair open in curls.
Apart from this, what made it to the highlights of the show was Sara Ali Khan and her grandmother Sharmila Tagore walking the red carpet together. Sharmila was presented the Beauty Legend Award while Sara bagged Fresh Face-Female Award.
