IPL 2024 has begun. The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is back with a bang. There is a lot of anticipation about what these will seasons be like, especially with all the legends like Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli taking a step back from the captaincy of their teams. The opening ceremony of IPL 2024 took place, and apart from significant performances, the ceremony will be filled with crazy moments that the internet lives for. Be it Sachin Tendulkar talking about Shubman Gill, Orry and Munawar Faruqui and Badshah, and so many more.
The ceremony started with social media sensation Orry adding his hilarious touch to the slightly serious world of cricket. He joked around with hosts of the Cricket Center hosts, showing up in a suit with his own face on it.

The league’s first match is between the 2023 Chennai Super Kings champions and the famous rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore. For the first time in IPL history, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma have all stepped back from captaincy, but they will still play. Fans on the internet have mixed reactions to these cricket legends taking a step back.
The second match will occur on March 23rd between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capital at 3:30 PM. And the third match is between Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at 7:30 PM.
IPL 2024 will broadcast on Star Sports Network for DTH and Cable connections and stream on Jio Cinema.
