Teja Sajja’s HanuMan is grabbing the headlines even after ending its blockbuster theatrical run. While its Hindi dubbed version is creating ripples with its OTT viewership, the latest we learned about the film is that the dubbed Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have got their dates of arrival on the small screen. Unbelievable run at the worldwide box office

Directed by Prasanth Varma, the Telugu superhero flick was released on 12th January (paid previews on 11th January). It was indulged in a direct clash with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. On the opening day, Mahesh Babu’s film took a smashing lead, but all thanks to extraordinary word-of-mouth and the Sankranti festive season, Teja Sajja’s film turned the tables and surprised everyone with its result.

With a superb pace in its theatrical journey, HanuMan ended its run at the Indian box office by garnering 237.18 crores gross (201 crores net). In the overseas market, the film earned 57 crores gross. Combining both, the worldwide run ended at 294.18 crores gross.

Tamil, Malayalam & Kannada versions of HanuMan get a release date

While the Telugu and Hindi versions of HanuMan are enjoying massive traction on the small screen, viewers were eagerly waiting for other dubbed versions too. Now, finally, the wait is over. A few moments ago, none other than director Prasanth Varma himself took to his X account and made it official that the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions of his blockbuster will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 5th April 2024.

The Hindi version is on a rampage mode

For those who don’t know, HanuMan’s Hindi version was a huge hit at the Indian box office, and despite minimal promotions, it scored a half-century. It ended its theatrical run at 50.76 crores and was declared a Super-Hit. After such an impressive performance at the box office, the Hindi dubbed version is fetching solid engagement on the OTT platform, too.

The Hindi dubbed version started streaming on Jio Cinema from 16th March onwards, and within 5 days, it was streamed for 207 million minutes on the platform. This clearly shows the demand for the film among Hindi audiences. Speaking about the original Telugu version, it’s available on Zee5.

The film is reportedly made at a moderate budget of 60 crores. Apart from Teja Sajja, it also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and others in key roles. It’s the first and the only big hit of Tollywood in 2024 so far.
